Add Accounts

Accounts

The Accounts section is where your financial life is broken down by 4 main categories: Net Worth, Investments, Cash Flow, and Insurance. But before your dashboards are filled with useful financial information, you need to fill them with accounts. Let’s review how to add accounts to your dashboard.

Add Accounts

Your advisor may have already added accounts to your profile, particularly if they already manage ones for you. But you may have accounts outside of the realm of what they manage for you such as work 401(k)’s, checking, savings, and insurance policies just to name a few examples. You have four options to add your accounts to your dashboard. You can Link your accounts online with your username and password or manually with the Add Property, Add Insurance, and Add Manual Account options. Let’s review each one.

Link Your Accounts

The below video shows you how to connect your accounts with an online connection. You are able to search for the institution, enter your username and password, and answer any other security questions to establish the data feed from your financial institution to your dashboard. This direct link allows you to log in everyday to view your account activity all in one place. Many options may appear when you search for your institution. Make sure the URL labeled with your institution matches the one you use to login to to view the account.
